>biting a man’s head of in the Aldi line.

>I’m weird.
I get very irritated at people who just assume that since they have one or two items to buy and my cart is overflowing that they can cut in front of me. I have never allowed anyone who has just a couple of things to stay behind me, that would be silly and selfish. (this is Aldi where there are no speedy cashier lines, in fact there’s usually one cashier)
I have, on the few occasions I’ve had only a couple items, been asked to go in front and been made to wait an eternity while the person in front of me was not only buying enough groceries for 18 families, but also had problems paying – thus making me wait an extra 3 and a half years.
So the other day Bill and I were in line at Aldi and this very happy older man asked if he could go in front of us. To Bill’s horror (really – I saw the look on his face!) I told him that I generally ask people to go ahead, but it really ticks me off when people ask to do it. (I let him go ahead anyway, he was a nice guy…then I let 2 more people who had small loads go as well…because I really am a nice girl)
I had one experience a couple of years ago where a lady just walked past me and said, “You don’t mind if I go ahead, right?” That’s just rude, and it soured me. Why would someone assume their time is more important than mine? Why would they think just because I have a cart full that I may not still be in a hurry? And why do I get so riled up just because other people are rude to me? What a witch! So I’m going to try to be nice. Be nice to the people who honk .004 seconds after the light turned green and I haven’t pressed down the gas yet, nice to the neighbors who think their cigarette buts are biodegradable and leave them all over the place. Nice to people who want to go in front of me in the grocery line and ask. ….I’m sure there are other people I should be nice to as well, I’ll list them as I discover them, after biting their heads off – of course!

    >well it IS good to be nice to rude people, but at the same time you can't let people think they can push you around.
