>Father’s day

>I don’t know if my father will ever see this, I don’t think he even owns a computer. But I am grateful for the father I had. He was obviously the father I needed. I was able to live out almost any girl’s childhood fantasy throughout my youth because of my father’s love for horses. I don’t think there was ever a day that I couldn’t go hop on and ride during my life. I was able to compete in rodeos and jackpots, which at the time didn’t seem like that big of a deal, but now I see what a unique opportunity that was. After I graduated from HS I was able to team rope with my dad, an experience I’ll always treasure. When I went to college the rodeo coach told me I threw a rope like a man, I learned from my dad, what else would I throw like? Dad isn’t one for chit chat or out pourings of love. He’s quiet and stays to himself. I have learned in my ‘old’ age that he does love me and is proud of me and my amazing family. I wish we lived closer so that I could see him more often. I love you dad.
My father- in-law has been so good to me. While I was attending Southern Colorado University he was there taking classes as well. Some people even asked if he was my husband – that was just wrong (although his name is Bill:-)! Anyway we took some ceramics classes together and he and I were able to deepen our relationship quite a bit. He always encouraged me and praised my work. He started classes after me, but in the true Inman artist style became better in no time at all. I looked to him easily as a father quickly and appreciate all he does for our family.
The father that means the most to me (besides my Heavenly Father) is the father of my children. Bill sacrifices sleep, work, money, time, and food for his kids all the time, and he doesn’t ever consider it sacrificing. His children are his best friends. Bill doesn’t really have any ‘buddy’ friends that he goes out and does things with, except for his kids (and me). He has always been good to get up with crying babies, he has always taken over on Sundays and when children get fussy or stinky he takes them out (it’s been hard with him in Boshopric!). He cries, plays, prays, laughs, argues, and talks with his children. When I evaluate my life and see what kind of man I am sealed to for eternity, I see that I am living an amazing life. Money, land, horses, cars, they are all so temporary, I have eternal wealth because of a man who takes seriously his role of husband and father.
